TL;DR
Business Development Associate, Mid Corporates: Support Business Development Directors in driving new business growth across the Mid Corporates London & South region with an accent on origination activity, market presence, and client engagement initiatives. Focus on identifying new-to-bank opportunities, preparing pitch materials, managing pipelines, coordinating events, and supporting marketing campaigns.
Location: London (hybrid, at least two days per week or 40% of time in office)
Salary: £48,987 - £54,430

What you will do
- Support Business Development Directors in identifying, researching, and progressing new-to-bank opportunities across priority sectors and geographies.
- Prepare for prospect and introducer meetings with company research, sector insights, pitch materials, and follow-up actions.
- Maintain and track business development pipelines, capturing activity, outcomes, and next steps.
- Coordinate with Relationship Directors, Associate Relationship Managers, and product partners to progress opportunities.
- Plan and deliver regional client, introducer, and sector events, handling logistics, invitations, and follow-ups.
- Support regional marketing campaigns, create marketing materials like tombstones and case studies, and contribute to business development planning and reporting.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years early-career experience in business development, relationship support, marketing, or events in commercial banking/financial services
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Confident written and verbal communication to engage stakeholders professionally
- Proactive, commercially curious mindset with interest in markets, sectors, and client strategy
- High energy, motivation, resilience, and collaborative approach to learn and take ownership
