Business Development Representative (Fintech): Building and nurturing partnerships with mortgage brokers, lenders, and referral partners to grow the wholesale channel with an accent on prospecting, qualifying, and onboarding new partners. Focus on outbound outreach, partner education, pipeline management, and driving funded deal volume through consistent engagement and CRM discipline.
Hybrid - San Diego Ability to work in our San Diego office Tuesday - Thursday
OTE $110,000 per year ($50,000 base paid hourly + uncapped monthly commissions)

What you will do
- Prospect and identify new referral partners like mortgage brokers, real estate agents, financial planners, and credit unions within assigned territories.
- Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, and social media to introduce 's HEI product.
- Qualify, onboard, and educate partners through presentations, webinars, and calls, providing tools and training for deal submission.
- Maintain follow-up cadences, track interactions in Salesforce CRM, and collaborate with Account Executives for handoffs.
- Participate in industry events to generate leads and provide feedback to Marketing and Product teams.
- Meet monthly and quarterly KPIs for outreach, new partners, and funded deals.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management
- Ability to work in our San Diego office Tuesday - Thursday
- Proven track record of hitting outbound sales or pipeline targets
- Strong phone presence and discovery conversation skills with financial professionals
- Proficient in Salesforce CRM and sales engagement tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-starter in fast-paced startup
Nice to have
- Experience in mortgage, real estate, or fintech
- Familiarity with HEI, HELOC, reverse mortgages, or alternative lending
