TL;DR

Account Manager (Software): Manage software renewals, upsell and cross-sell additional modules to existing clients in enterprise, higher education, and K-12 sectors with an accent on negotiation, relationship building, and achieving sales targets. Focus on developing account plans, monitoring usage and satisfaction metrics, conducting market research, and providing accurate forecasts.

Location: Remote - US

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 USD (plus commission)

What you will do

  • Manage software renewal process for assigned accounts, negotiate terms, and ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, conduct demos, and achieve quarterly/annual sales targets.
  • Develop account plans, monitor usage, health, and revenue; provide sales forecasts using CRM tools.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and collaborate on sales/marketing strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders as primary point of contact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years sales or account management experience, preferably in software, enterprise, higher ed/K-12
  • Proven track record meeting/exceeding sales targets
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales tools; ability to articulate complex software value
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
