Business Development Director

TL;DR

Business Development Director (Foodservice): Identifies, pursues, and secures new business opportunities with chain restaurant clients to drive revenue growth and expand market presence across North America with an accent on sales strategy development, client acquisition, and relationship management. Focus on researching prospects, conducting webinars and meetings, developing proposals, and closing deals while attending industry events.

Location: Chicago, IL; Lake Worth, FL; Waltham, MA. Unable to offer work sponsorship for this role. Ability to travel at least 25% of the time.

What you will do

• Contact potential clients, arrange meetings, conduct calls, and handle paperwork for signatures
• Schedule and run webinars to qualify leads and pursue new business
• Research targeted markets, identify prospects, and follow through to successful agreements
• Develop sales strategies, quotes, proposals, and goals while increasing customer value
• Attend conferences and industry events to find new markets and improve sales
• Collaborate with teams, maintain CRM data, and manage client relationships

Requirements

• 3+ years of restaurant/foodservice sales experience
• Ability to travel at least 25% of the time
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
• Strong understanding of products, competition, and industry positioning
• Strong communication, relationship management, and organizational skills
• Thrive in fast-paced environments with a "do what it takes" attitude
