TL;DR

Business Development Manager (Foodservice): Leading strategic sales efforts for the Ignite platform within the foodservice industry with an accent on engaging senior executives and driving revenue growth. Focus on prospecting, conducting high-impact platform demonstrations, and building long-term partnerships with industry leaders.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to the Chicago, IL office (Hybrid: 3 days/week in-office).

Salary: $65,000–$70,000 plus commission.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute high-impact strategies to exceed sales targets and expand the client base.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers in the foodservice sector.
  • Conduct compelling live demonstrations of the Ignite data and insights platform.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and prospecting.
  • Forecast sales performance and provide actionable insights to meet revenue objectives.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or able to commute to the Chicago, IL office.
  • Proven track record in foodservice research platform sales or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in B2B subscription-based sales.
  • Strong understanding of foodservice and food retail sectors.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools like Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel to conferences and client sites as needed.
