What you will do
- Own and manage the regional sales pipeline from qualification to closure, ensuring full internal transparency.
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with national space policies and mid-term client objectives.
- Expand the regional client base through executive-level relationship building and presence at key industry events.
- Lead the end-to-end proposal process, including RFP responses, bid strategies, pricing, and narrative creation.
- Conduct commercial discussions and contract negotiations according to corporate policies and risk frameworks.
- Oversee the delivery of awarded programs, ensuring milestone achievement and proactive risk management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related).
- Minimum 2 years of business development or sales experience specifically in the space industry.
- Minimum 3 years of team management experience in any industry.
- Proven success managing long-cycle, large-scale deals exceeding USD 5M in value.
- English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Location: Must be based in Tokyo, Japan for a hybrid work arrangement.
Nice to have
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese (written and verbal).
- Technical understanding of satellite systems, cislunar infrastructure, or mission operations.
- Experience with CRM platforms, proposal software, or project management tools.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally in a fast-paced environment.
