Developer Advocate (US & Canada)

TL;DR

Developer Advocate (Security Infrastructure): Create technical content including documentation, educational videos, and demos to educate developers on using hirify.global's open source security platform with an accent on developer experience and adoption. Focus on engaging communities across platforms, representing at conferences, and shaping developer-facing strategy.

Location: Remote, must be based in the US or Canada

Compensation: $120K – $190K + equity (0.05% – 0.25%)

What you will do

• Create and publish technical content like educational videos, demos, and documentation to help developers use hirify.global.
• Engage on platforms including Reddit, X, Slack, and LinkedIn to drive visibility and participate in developer conversations.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation with code samples, guides, and feature references.
• Collaborate with engineering and marketing to position features and communicate product value.
• Define developer-facing voice, presence, and community strategy.
• Represent hirify.global at conferences, meetups, and podcasts with real-world solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or 2+ years in developer relations, advocacy, or technical community building
• Based in the US or Canada
• Strong understanding of software engineering, developer tooling, and infrastructure
• Exceptional written and verbal communication to explain complex topics clearly
• Comfortable creating content in written, video, and social formats

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a software engineer or on developer-facing products
• Experience managing or growing developer communities (Discord, Slack, GitHub)
• Familiarity with hosting developer-facing events
• Existing presence in developer communities (X, blog, OSS projects)
