Digital Operations Leader (IoT)

What you will do

• Serve as the first point of contact for manufacturing digitalization.
• Manage complex end-to-end projects, including governance, stakeholders, workloads, deadlines, budgets, and delivery outcomes.
• Support cross-functional digitalization projects across manufacturing plants.
• Advise plants on IoT and Industry 4.0 process digitalization and calculate project ROI and KPI improvements.
• Develop and communicate strategies for using Industrial IoT and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Coordinate a virtual team of digitalization specialists and collaborate with IT, regional, global, and business-unit stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least five years of manufacturing experience in the automotive or mechatronics industries.
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, machining, forming, and assembly.
• Strong competence in machine PLC systems, including Siemens, KUKA, Mitsubishi, or Allen-Bradley.
• Strong knowledge of machine protocols such as OPC-UA, MQTT, and Profibus/-net.
• Experience with PLC machine-data interfaces used for remote service, MES, traceability, quality, and logistics.

Nice to have

• Experience with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs).
• Master’s degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Practical understanding of SAP UI5 and HTML5.
