Process Optimization Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Define, implement, and validate production process designs and determine the necessary production resources.
• Participate in the acquisition, commissioning, validation, and homologation of production resources and component modifications.
• Calculate costs and follow up budgets for investments and expenses related to new product industrialization.
• Lead internal projects, improvement teams, and product modifications in serial projects.
• Improve serial production through cost optimization, productivity improvements, quality initiatives, and process standardization.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, project teams, purchasing, and the Stuttgart engineering department on process and product changes.

Requirements

• Engineering degree, preferably with a mechanical specialization.
• High level of Spanish and English required.
• Experience in a similar role, including leadership in interdisciplinary environments.
• Project leadership and analytical skills for process root-cause analysis.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks or CATIA, Siemens PLC programming with Step 7, TIA Portal, and WinCC.
• Knowledge of KUKA robotics, KRC4 and KRC5 systems, MS Office, and preferably SAP-PM.
