TL;DR

General Counsel (Legal): Overseeing legal operations for North and South American businesses with an accent on commercial contracting and regulatory guidance. Focus on managing complex litigation, supporting acquisitions, and providing pragmatic legal advice to senior stakeholders.

Location: Hybrid; must be based in New York, New Jersey, or Houston. Requires three days in the office (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday).

Salary: $222,200–$232,000

What you will do

• Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including SaaS, software, consultancy, and supplier agreements.
• Manage straightforward litigation and oversee external counsel for complex matters.
• Support internal investigations and contribute to risk and compliance initiatives.
• Provide legal input during acquisition onboarding and support the global insurance programme.
• Offer pragmatic legal advice to senior stakeholders across diverse business units.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor in US with a minimum of 10 years PQE.
• Mix of Law Firm and in-house experience.
• Proven expertise in commercial contracting from the supply side.
• Experience in due diligence and acquisition integration.
• Must be based in New York, New Jersey, or Houston.

Nice to have

• Fluency in Spanish.
