What you will do
- Act as the primary legal point of contact for Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
- Own the full contracting lifecycle, drafting and negotiating MSAs, BAAs, SOWs, NDAs, and Order Forms.
- Build and scale the legal infrastructure, implementing systems and AI tooling to optimize workflows.
- Monitor healthcare regulatory landscapes, including HIPAA and price transparency, providing actionable guidance to the team.
- Collaborate with outside counsel on specialized matters and integrate their findings into business processes.
- Support board governance, corporate policy work, and the maintenance of corporate records.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one US state.
- 4-7 years of transactional legal experience with a strong focus on commercial contracts.
- Strong working knowledge of SaaS and data licensing, preferably with enterprise buyer negotiation experience.
- Must be based in the United States.
- Comfort with or eagerness to learn healthcare regulatory frameworks like HIPAA and the No Surprises Act.
- Ability to provide decisive guidance that enables business decision-making.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Ironclad or other CLM platforms.
- Experience with managed care, payer/provider relations, or data commercialization.
- Exposure to IP fundamentals, including trademarks and patents.
