Location: Hybrid, London. Must be based in the UK

What you will do

  • Define and execute a 3-year technical roadmap for platform evolution, AI integration, and architectural modernization.
  • Lead and inspire a global engineering organization of 200+ people through 6-10 senior leaders.
  • Embed AI/ML into platform capabilities for personalization, fraud detection, and predictive analytics.
  • Ensure 24/7 operational excellence for high-scale, low-latency systems implementing SRE practices.
  • Establish architectural standards ensuring compliance across 100+ jurisdictions worldwide.
  • Manage technology spend and demonstrate ROI in collaboration with the CTO and board-level audiences.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience with 10+ years leading teams of 100+ engineers at VP/SVP level.
  • Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, microservices, and high-scale distributed systems.
  • Must be based in the UK (Hybrid London).
  • Proven experience in highly regulated industries such as gaming or fintech.
  • Strong P&L understanding and ability to communicate complex technology as business narratives.
  • Experience managing distributed teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
