What you will do

  • Take accountability for engineering workstreams in Pricing domain, such as delivering new sports pricing feeds or optimizing latency in products like Football BetBuilder
  • Manage a team of Java and Python developers, supporting their professional growth
  • Set product-driven goals, track progress, and resolve blockers with other managers and leads
  • Refine team processes through strategic initiatives like performance testing and quality assurance
  • Build Pricing domain knowledge and relationships with other engineering teams

Requirements

  • 7+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years in leadership/management focused on people, delivery, and operations
  • Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience in modern practices, Java, Python, and stacks like Spring Boot, Kafka, AWS
  • Track record delivering complex low-latency, event-driven microservices to production
  • Solid understanding of software design principles, patterns, and automated testing (integration/performance)
  • Experience as approachable people manager, mentoring developers and building stakeholder relationships

Nice to have

  • Experience with sports data systems or pricing feeds
  • Agile practices like Scrum or Kanban
  • DevOps practices and tools
