What you will do

• Lead a North America-based software engineering team designing and operating core services for the lodging connectivity platform.
• Set the technical direction for the domain, including architecture, design patterns, and AI/ML-enabled solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence through code quality, reliability, scalability, and automated testing practices.
• Partner with Product and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver technology roadmaps with measurable business impact.
• Manage resource planning, milestones, and dependencies to ensure predictable delivery outcomes.
• Hire, mentor, and develop diverse engineering talent while fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams of 12 or more engineers in complex environments.
• Proven experience building high-scale distributed systems on modern cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI/ML in production systems to improve product capabilities or efficiency.
• Required to be based in the United States (Austin, TX).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in lodging, travel, e-commerce, or large-scale marketplace domains.
• Expertise with high-volume partner APIs, data synchronization, and near-real-time distributed systems.
• Experience using AI/ML tools for anomaly detection, forecasting, or operational efficiency.
• Knowledge of Agentic AI or orchestration approaches to automate engineering processes.
