Senior Director, Engineering, Platform Infrastructure (Cloud): Leading the platform infrastructure organization to evolve cloud-native systems for a mental healthcare platform with an accent on developer productivity, system reliability, and infrastructure-as-code at scale. Focus on defining platform strategy, scaling high-performing engineering teams, and integrating AI-driven automation into foundational infrastructure.
Location: Hybrid, based in New York City (2-3 days per week in office). Must be based in the NYC metro area or able to relocate independently within 90 days.
Salary: $230,000 - $288,000

What you will do
- Define and execute the platform infrastructure strategy, focusing on cloud-native, distributed systems and developer experience.
- Lead and scale the platform engineering organization, driving execution practices across Product, Design, Security, and Data.
- Build self-service platform capabilities and tooling to improve developer productivity and accelerate time-to-market.
- Champion DevOps and SRE practices to ensure high system availability, observability, and efficient incident management.
- Leverage AI and automation to enhance infrastructure efficiency and reliability.
- Manage vendor partnerships and drive infrastructure cost optimization and capacity planning.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure), distributed systems, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Kubernetes).
- Proven experience leading and scaling platform or infrastructure engineering teams in complex, high-growth environments.
- Strong track record of implementing DevOps and SRE practices at scale.
- Experience building internal platforms and tooling that enhance developer productivity.
- Demonstrated ability to drive measurable outcomes such as uptime, MTTR, and cost optimization.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence at the executive level.
