UX Researcher II (Mixed Methods): Conducting mixed-methods research to improve traveler and partner experiences across the ecosystem with an accent on data-driven insights and AI-driven product discovery. Focus on executing end-to-end qualitative and quantitative studies to inform product requirements and experience improvements.
Location: Must be based in the United States (New York, Seattle, or Austin). Flexible work model with office availability.
Salary: $112,000 – $196,000

What you will do
- Execute mixed-methods research (qualitative and quantitative) to generate actionable insights for product, design, and business decisions.
- Plan and run end-to-end studies, including research design, participant recruiting, moderation, analysis, and synthesis.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to translate findings into product requirements and feature iterations.
- Select and apply appropriate methods such as usability testing, interviews, surveys, or log analysis based on project needs.
- Communicate insights in compelling formats to stakeholders to enable data-informed prioritization and roadmap decisions.
- Integrate AI/ML concepts and AI-driven tools into research planning, execution, and product evaluation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Psychology, Anthropology, Cognitive Science, or equivalent practical experience in UX research.
- Professional experience conducting mixed-methods UX research in a product development environment.
- Experience as a core research partner for specific product areas, influencing service direction and user journeys.
- Ability to design and execute survey design, usability testing, and in-depth interviews using standard UX tools.
- Must be authorized to work in the US (E-Verify participant).
- Familiarity with AI-driven systems and applying AI/ML concepts to real-world products.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in a relevant social science or HCI field.
- Experience leading mixed-methods programs for complex, multi-surface, or multi-market scaled products.
- Proven track record of building research frameworks, taxonomies, or recurring study programs.
- Experience taking products from concept to scaled adoption through generative discovery and post-launch measurement.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted synthesis, segmentation, or pattern detection to accelerate research insights.
