User Research Intern

TL;DR

User Research Intern (Product Design): Support research projects, synthesize findings, monitor app engagement metrics, and conduct competitor benchmarking for sports social platform with an accent on UX quality assurance. Focus on user insights, dashboard analysis, and collaborative research in fast-paced environment.

Location: Hybrid (2 days) in SF Bay Area; Remote in California (non-SF), New York City, or PST hours, with willingness to relocate full-time

Salary: $20–$32 USD per hour

What you will do

• Support research projects and synthesize findings for the team
• Monitor users’ app engagement metrics using internal dashboards
• Conduct benchmarking and ongoing monitoring of competitors
• Help set up and participate in UX quality assurance reviews

Requirements

• Pursuing degree in related field graduating 2025 or new grad with ≤1 year experience
• Understand fundamentals of user research with strong attention to detail
• Love collaborating, juggle multiple projects, thrive in fast-paced environment as proactive self-starter
• Eagerness to learn, genuinely curious or passionate about sports

Nice to have

• Degree in HCI, information sciences, stats, data analytics, human-centered design
• Experience running usability tests for mobile apps
• Skilled with remote testing tools, surveys, analytics dashboards
• Experience with fantasy sports, daily fantasy, sports betting, or passion for football/basketball
