TL;DR
Global Mobility Lead (Legaltech): Designing and architecting global mobility frameworks and immigration infrastructure to enable seamless talent movement across borders with an accent on regulatory compliance, tax implications, and employee experience. Focus on establishing scalable mobility policies, managing complex visa workflows, and optimizing global vendor ecosystems.
Location: Hybrid; must be based in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Dublin, London, New York City, or Sydney (office attendance required min. twice per week).
Salary: $110,000 – $165,000 CAD

What you will do
- Architect the global mobility framework, including drafting policies, defining tier packages, and creating standardized workflows for international moves.
- Provide full-cycle support for relocating employees, managing cost projections, tax implications, and logistics.
- Oversee day-to-day immigration filing and tracking of visas and work permits in coordination with external legal counsel.
- Act as the internal subject matter expert for Hiring Managers and Talent Acquisition regarding mobility timelines and eligibility.
- Manage the global mobility vendor ecosystem, monitoring SLAs and leading regular business reviews.
- Coordinate with Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate tax withholding, shadow payroll setup, and expense tracking.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience in Global Mobility, International HR, or Tax/Immigration consulting.
- Deep subject matter expertise in Canada, U.S., and international immigration categories (e.g., LMIA, H-1B, L-1).
- Strong understanding of global tax principles, including tax equalization and shadow payroll.
- Experience designing and scaling mobility programs within high-growth tech or global enterprise environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Must be located in one of the company's hub cities: Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Dublin, London, New York City, or Sydney.
