Senior Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California; hybrid with at least three days per week in the office. Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required.

Salary: $252,000–$280,000 base salary per year for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area, plus potential bonus, sales incentive, and RSUs.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, hire, and develop a high-performing Forward Deployed Engineering New Business team.
• Own technical execution and business outcomes across complex enterprise customer engagements.
• Act as a player-coach in strategic deals, providing architecture, demos, technical guidance, and product evaluation support.
• Lead discovery, design, and delivery of tailored technical solutions, including PoCs, evaluations, and business value assessments.
• Translate field experience into reusable tools, playbooks, and actionable product roadmap feedback.
• Represent Fin and the FDE function in executive meetings and strategic events.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical experience as a Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, Applied AI professional, or in a related role.
• 3+ years leading technical, customer-facing teams, including hiring, mentoring, and people management.
• Experience selling and deploying AI, data, or highly technical products in complex enterprise environments.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous problem spaces and turn ambiguity into clear signals for Product and Engineering.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with flexibility to adjust working hours for global collaboration.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and availability for the hybrid San Francisco office schedule.
