Engineer I, Early Career Development Program (ECDP) - Process / Mechanical-2 (Engineering): Providing support for mechanical aspects of capital projects and infrastructure assessment at Thermomechanical Treatment Facilities with an accent on plant support engineering and design. Focus on performing equipment condition assessments, developing P&IDs, and conducting technical troubleshooting using RCA.

Location: Must be based in Rochester, MA or Haverhill, MA

Salary: $57,400 - $76,400 USD

What you will do

  • Support engineering activities at facilities including field services, shutdown inspections, and performance testing.
  • Perform equipment condition assessments and technical troubleshooting using RCA/Problem Solving Methodologies.
  • Assist in design engineering for upgrades and new projects, including reviewing P&IDs and technical drawings.
  • Develop work scopes, evaluate plant modification options, and create mechanical design calculations.
  • Support vendor proposal requests, specification development, and bid evaluations.
  • Participate in construction inspections and commissioning support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Process or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience (recent graduates encouraged).
  • Internship, Co-Op or prior work experience in Mechanical or Process engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of AI tools in industrial environments.
  • Must be based in Rochester, MA or Haverhill, MA.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%.
