TL;DR

Product Technology M&A Senior Associate: Evaluating software platforms through an integrated commercial, operational, and financial lens for private equity and strategic clients with an accent on technical architecture, product strategy, operational scalability, and financial sustainability. Focus on conducting architecture reviews, codebase and technical debt analysis, cloud infrastructure evaluation, roadmap feasibility assessment, and cost analysis.

Location: Hybrid requiring in-person attendance at least 3 days per week at GT offices (Chicago, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Arlington, Dallas, Los Angeles, Southfield) or client sites in the US. Ability to travel up to 50%.

What you will do

  • Conduct architecture reviews and documentation analysis
  • Support codebase and technical debt analysis
  • Analyze cloud infrastructure configurations
  • Assist in evaluating roadmap feasibility
  • Support hosting cost and R&D cost analysis
  • Prepare diligence slides, summaries, and track management Q&A

Requirements

  • 3–6 years in software engineering, cloud engineering, architecture analysis, or product development
  • Experience in SaaS or platform businesses preferred
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Structured problem solving and attention to detail
  • High learning agility
  • Interest in private equity and transaction environments
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
