What you will do
- Define low voltage systems requirements and interfaces with OEM partners and functional systems engineers (networks, infotainment, thermal, security, motion/body controls).
- Write requirements for embedded software/hardware and power electronics architecture development.
- Develop safety work products including safety concepts, FTA, and FMEDA.
- Create V&V plans, execute tests, analyze results, and resolve defects for low voltage systems.
- Collaborate with embedded software teams on implementation and design documents.
- Manage delivery timing and troubleshooting for vehicle prototype fleet updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Physics or similar.
- Deep knowledge of electrical power systems and design for fault tolerance in safety-critical systems.
- Ability to create/negotiate requirements with OEMs and execute DVPs.
- Understanding of low voltage systems in safety-critical contexts (fail-safe vs. fail-tolerant, timing).
- Knowledge of Functional Safety per ISO26262.
- Software code comprehension skills.
Nice to have
- At least 3 years in automotive electrical low voltage systems/software delivering hardware/software.
- Understanding of automotive development process (M1, VB, TT etc.).
- Working knowledge of vehicle networks (CAN, FlexRay, LIN, Ethernet).
- Experience with fail-safe/tolerant design, ASIL D systems, FTA, FMEDA, FMEA.
- LV system design with DCDC, batteries, charge control, load shedding.
- LV system simulations for fault injection testing.
- Complex systems requirements mapping with attention to detail.
- Strong root-cause analysis mindset.
- SQL for large datasets.
