Financial Analyst Intern

TL;DR

Financial Analyst Intern (FP&A): Track key performance indicators, deliver ad hoc financial analyses, prepare budgets and forecasts of expenses with an accent on distilling data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Focus on designing financial metrics, budget variance analysis, and participating in Strategic Finance initiatives.

Location: San Ramon, CA (Hybrid, 3 days/week (M, W, TH) in office required)

What you will do

• Create analyses and presentations for strategic recommendations to executives, Board, and investors
• Distill large datasets into actionable insights and trends
• Design, implement, and track financial and operating metrics against strategic goals
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and monthly/quarterly variance analyses
• Assist in monthly close process and leverage financial systems for automation
• Participate in FP&A initiatives, ad hoc analysis, and process improvements
• Collaborate across teams to gather data and reports

Requirements

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or analytical field (Engineering, Math)
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical acumen and financial modeling skills
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy and integrity
• Proactive self-starter able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
• Must be able to work onsite at San Ramon, CA headquarters

• GCP, BigQuery, SQL experience
