Supplier Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, UK (hybrid home/office working possible where feasible). Candidates must be able to work in the UK without restrictions and successfully undertake UK National Security Vetting.

What you will do

• Proactively manage quality issues with robust root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Handle supplier RCCA responses, close-outs, selection, onboarding, and work transfers.
• Conduct supplier product and process audits, provide AS9102 FAI training.
• Offer technical support including concessions, process reviews, improvements, and quality plans for supplier moves.
• Support new projects/prototypes, on-site source inspections, and flow customer requirements to supply chain.
• Review supplier quality data, facilitate action plans, and provide day-to-day supplier support.

Requirements

• UK work eligibility without restrictions and readiness for National Security Vetting.
• Proven Quality/Business Improvement experience and working within a quality management system.
• Experience with auditing, reading engineering drawings, and manufacturing/supply chain environments.
• Good communication skills, relationship-building, planning, initiative, and decision-making.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic metrology equipment, and inspection techniques.
• Willingness to travel with overnight stays; valid passport and driving license.

Nice to have

• Aerospace organization experience and standards (AS9100, EASA Part 21/145, FOD, counterfeit avoidance).
• Process measurement (SPC, KPIs), Certified Quality Auditor training.
• Engineering qualifications, FAIR/APQP/PPAP/ISAR knowledge.
• Understanding of special processes (Anodising, Surface Treatment, PCBA).
