Payment Consultant - Fixed Term (36 months)

TL;DR

Payment Consultant (Fixed Term): Owning end-to-end configuration and support of payment processing applications, tailoring business configurations and master data for flawless transactions with an accent on incident resolution, test environments, and collaboration with developers and architects. Focus on investigating faulty payments, implementing solutions within SLAs, and driving performance improvements.

Hybrid in Bucharest, Romania. Regular early and late shifts (07:00–20:00 CET) as well as occasional on-call (evenings and weekends).

What you will do

• Configure payment processing applications and master data settings for customer requests.
• Provide day-to-day support and act as 2nd-line support for payment processing.
• Analyze, advise, and configure test systems.
• Review incidents, propose/implement solutions and workarounds.
• Investigate and correct faulty payment files within SLAs, collaborating with developers for structural fixes.

Requirements

• Very good English knowledge; German is a plus.
• Advanced degree in business administration or equivalent experience.
• At least 1–2 years professional experience, preferably similar role.
• Knowledge of payment processes in banks, SEPA payments (international payments ideal).
• Good understanding of payment-relevant data formats, interfaces, and XML reading.
• Strong customer orientation, structured and solution-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• ITIL certification.
• Good knowledge of Unix and server-side work.
