What you will do

• Assist customer DBA teams with expert analysis and resolution of complex PostgreSQL/MySQL issues via email, chat, voice, or screen-sharing.
• Investigate problems in large-scale deployments, including very large hardware and Fortune 50 companies.
• Author blog posts, forum answers, and knowledge base articles for the open-source community.
• Collaborate with elite database experts on challenging technical problems.

Requirements

• Fluent in English (verbal and written) for customer communication
• Deep expert knowledge of PostgreSQL (pgvector, repmgr, barman, pglogical, Patroni, pgBouncer) or MySQL (hirify.global Xtrabackup, mydumper, Orchestrator, ProxySQL, InnoDB Cluster)
• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes (deployment, administration, troubleshooting databases in K8s)
• Database performance tuning (server config, query/index optimization)
• Linux systems administration and methodical troubleshooting
• Available for occasional international travel
• Self-directed with strong critical thinking
