What you will do

• Assist customers with complex PostgreSQL issues via data analysis, reports, email, chat, or screen-sharing sessions.
• Work on massive database deployments for Fortune 50 companies, optimizing performance and resolving production problems.
• Author blog posts, forum answers, and knowledge base articles for the open-source community.
• Collaborate with elite database experts as a teammate and mentor.
• Administer Linux systems, containerization, and Kubernetes for PostgreSQL deployments.

Requirements

• Fluent in English communication verbally and in writing
• Deep expert knowledge of PostgreSQL, tools, and ecosystem (pgvector, repmgr, barman, pglogical, Patroni, pgBouncer)
• Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, backups (pgBackRest, WAL-G), high availability, replication
• Linux administration, containerization, Kubernetes deployment and troubleshooting
• Methodical troubleshooting and critical thinking for complex issues
• Available for international travel to team meetings, conferences, or customer visits
• Self-directed with enthusiasm for learning new technologies

Nice to have

• Software development in C, C++, Go
• Advanced Linux tools (gdb, perf, strace, bpftrace, tcpdump)
• Experience with MySQL, MongoDB, Valkey/Redis, hirify.global products (PMM)
• Cloud services (AWS RDS, Azure, GCP), ANSI SQL advanced features, indexing, foreign data wrappers
• SLA-bound support, open-source contributions, remote work experience, Kubernetes certifications
