TL;DR

Senior Network Engineer (Load Balancing): Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade load balancing and traffic management solutions across on-prem and cloud environments with an accent on L4–L7 technologies, SSL offload, GSLB, and application acceleration. Focus on capacity planning, failover design, automation with Ansible/Terraform, and troubleshooting complex performance issues.

Location: Mesa, Arizona. Must be locally located and comfortable working a 3 days in office hybrid model and 2 days remote

What you will do

• Engineer, deploy, and manage L4–L7 load balancing solutions for high-availability applications using F5 BIG-IP, Citrix ADC, A10, or cloud-native balancers.
• Design traffic management strategies including SSL offload, content switching, GSLB, and performance tuning with persistence profiles, health monitors, and iRules.
• Lead capacity planning, failover, disaster recovery, and optimization of application delivery infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network and application issues across multi-tier environments and partner with app, DevOps, and security teams.
• Implement secure traffic flows with WAF, TLS best practices, DDoS mitigation, and automate provisioning via Ansible, Terraform, or APIs.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, guide best practices, and engage stakeholders on technology roadmaps.

Requirements

• 7+ years in network engineering with strong focus on load balancing and application delivery
• Deep expertise in L4–L7 concepts: HTTP/S, TCP optimization, persistence, SSL/TLS, DNS, GSLB
• Hands-on with F5 BIG-IP (LTM/GTM), Citrix ADC, A10, or cloud load balancers (AWS ALB/NLB, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with WAF, OWASP Top 10, zero-trust, scripting (Python/Bash), IaC tools, routing/switching (BGP, OSPF)
• Strong troubleshooting with packet captures, logs, metrics; excellent cross-functional communication
• Must be locally located in Mesa, Arizona for 3 days in office hybrid model

Nice to have

• Experience leading POCs, CI/CD integration, and evaluating emerging technologies
