TL;DR

Digital & Experience Strategist (Retail): Lead day-to-day strategic execution across retail client engagements in EMEA, framing complex business challenges into actionable programs connecting business ambition, customer experience, and technology delivery. Focus on shaping proposals, building client relationships, bridging strategy with engineering and product teams, and contributing to industry propositions.

Location: Based in EMEA, hybrid in London, approximately two days per week in the office with flexibility.

What you will do

  • Lead customer and commercial strategy on retail engagements, framing problems, identifying opportunities, and defining directions linking business, customer experience, and digital execution.
  • Shape proposals and RFPs, structuring narratives, value propositions, and translating opportunities into executable programs.
  • Build client relationships as a trusted advisor, identifying growth plays and converting discussions into structured opportunities.
  • Bridge business, customer experience, tech, and delivery, ensuring strategies are actionable and aligned with engineering capabilities.
  • Define capabilities and operating implications, identifying gaps in digital product development, data/AI, and processes, with practical roadmaps.
  • Guide strategy through delivery, providing direction to teams and aligning workstreams to outcomes and value.
  • Contribute to Retail & CPG propositions, translating trends into repeatable offerings and thought leadership.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in strategy, digital strategy, customer experience strategy, product strategy, or digital transformation.
  • Experience in Retail and/or CPG strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with engineering, product, and delivery teams in digital transformation programs.
  • Customer strategy, segmentation, value proposition design, and connecting insights to business outcomes.
  • Understanding of digital platforms, data, AI, product ecosystems, and agile delivery.
  • Transformation thinking: capability roadmaps, operating models, and organizational evolution.
  • Strong client engagement, proposal development, strategic communication, and navigating ambiguity.
