MICE Team Lead

TL;DR

MICE Team Lead (Travel Events): Lead a team of 6-8 MICE specialists handling RFPs, customer queries, and group travel bookings with an accent on operational excellence, skill development, and sales performance. Focus on creating scalable processes, conducting 1:1s and pipeline reviews, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve KPIs and drive deal closures.

Location: Hybrid in Barcelona; must be based within commuting distance of our hubs. Relocation support available from anywhere in the world for certain roles. English is the official language.

What you will do

• Lead and engage a team of 6-8 MICE Specialists through weekly 1:1s and pipeline reviews to drive target achievement and deal closure.
• Develop junior talent by creating onboarding programs and targeted training sessions using role-playing and simulations.
• Establish and optimize scalable processes for handling RFPs, phone calls, and email queries from customers.
• Set performance metrics, identify training needs, and provide consultative mentorship on hirify.global products and event solutions.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to build Events pipeline and with Builders to shape automation tools.

Requirements

• 2-4 years proven success in MICE, venue sourcing, or meetings & events sales
• Strong commercial drive to build a win culture and motivate team to hit KPIs and stretch targets
• Experience managing or mentoring junior sales/operations teams preferred
• Track record of creating/improving scalable processes and teaching them to team members
• Data-driven mindset to analyze performance metrics and identify improvements
• Excellent understanding of hirify.global MICE value proposition and worldwide event destinations
• Strong communication skills to simplify complex concepts
• Solution-driven attitude, comfortable in high-growth, high-pressure environment
