What you will do

• Develop and optimize high-throughput workflows for protein library screening and characterization exceeding 10^6 data points.
• Build and execute in vitro and cell-based assay pipelines across display and screening modalities.
• Design, construct libraries, and generate large-scale datasets with statistical rigor for ML training.
• Lead projects from experimental design to data delivery, improving throughput and efficiency.
• Collaborate with ML team to integrate experimental data into AI pipelines and shape team direction.

Requirements

• PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, synthetic biology, bioengineering or related field.
• Demonstrated creativity in method development: invented or substantially adapted workflows.
• Excitement for innovation in early-stage startup with ambiguity and fast pace.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with documentation and data organization.

Nice to have

• Large-scale DNA library construction (>10^6 variants).
• Display platforms (yeast, phage, mRNA, ribosome, mammalian).
• Flow cytometry, FACS, NGS library prep and analysis.
• Statistically rigorous experimental design and high-throughput data analysis (Python, R).
• Laboratory automation experience.
