What you will do

• Develop complex 3D structural models and 2D deliverables for steel and concrete structures from verbal inputs or sketches.
• Lead small design teams by providing guidance, coordinating tasks, balancing workloads, and monitoring progress.
• Conduct internal and cross-discipline reviews, perform clash detection, and ensure alignment with standards.
• Verify work accuracy for yourself and juniors, attend meetings to resolve issues.
• Adopt emerging technologies for design automation and efficiency.
• Provide occasional field support to verify site conditions.

Requirements

• Associate degree in CAD or equivalent technical training
• Minimum 5 years (7 preferred) structural drafting/design experience; 3 years (5 preferred) expert Revit
• Proven experience with steel and concrete structures
• Proficiency in Navisworks and Bluebeam for coordination
• Strong leadership and communication skills for guiding teams
• Must reside within 50 miles of Austin office

Nice to have

• Experience with SmartPlant or Tekla
• Background in general industrial or semiconductor design
• Expertise in design automation and emerging CAD tech
