TL;DR

Key Account Sales Representative (Agriculture): Developing and executing strategic account plans, managing key customer relationships, and driving business growth across an assigned territory with an accent on territory stewardship and long-term partnership development. Focus on sales execution, value-based selling, and cross-functional collaboration to meet revenue targets and expand market presence.

Location: Hybrid remote in USA (ideal: Eastern SD or Western MN), approximately 40% travel required.

What you will do

  • Assess customer needs and develop tailored account and territory strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Build long-term relationships, provide product recommendations, and resolve customer issues effectively.
  • Execute sales plans, deliver presentations, and meet revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and forecast market trends and competitive insights.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and other teams to support customers and drive aligned execution.
  • Coach peers and contribute to complex projects beyond your territory.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales and/or key account management experience, preferably in agriculture.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships and growing business in a territory.
  • Experience with CRM tools, data-driven decisions, and negotiating with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems; ability to work independently in a matrixed organization.

Nice to have

  • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA), MBA, or advanced degree.
