What you will do

• Support R&D formulators in developing and batching hair-related products under the direction of a Senior Chemist or Manager.
• Document batches, specifications, formulation notes, stability results, and test data in laboratory notebooks and formulation software.
• Conduct stability studies, track results, update charts, and summarize data for review.
• Coordinate salon, microbiological, and analytical testing, and conduct laboratory efficacy tests.
• Prepare reports describing experiments, analysis, and results, and communicate formulation issues promptly.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, raw materials, supplies, glassware, workspace organization, and waste disposal processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or Master of Science in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field; a four-year science degree may also be considered.
• 0–1 years of industry experience for candidates with a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Ability to read and follow department SOPs and PPE guidelines.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn laboratory equipment used to evaluate physical and performance attributes of products.
• Effective communication with supervisors, colleagues, and cross-functional departments.
