Formulations Technician II (Biotech)

Location: Onsite in Rockville, Maryland, United States. Full-time schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with rotating weekend and holiday work.

Salary: $26.00–$30.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Receive, distribute, and dispose of test compounds, vehicles, and reagents.
• Formulate test compounds, vehicles, and reagents for oncology research studies.
• Record study data in the laboratory information management system.
• Read, follow, and adhere to study protocols.
• Draft, edit, modify, and verify compound formulation procedures.
• Prepare and organize studies by labeling sample tubes, stocking supplies, and maintaining laboratory organization.

Requirements

• Preferred bachelor's degree in chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field.
• Preferred two years of related experience in a contract research organization, hospital, compounding pharmacy, or similar research setting.
• Strong computer skills and an organized, detail-oriented, process-oriented approach.
• Ability to work in a research laboratory and vivarium environment, including routine exposure to chemicals, odors, sharps, blood, body fluids, and tissue.
• Ability to perform repetitive manual work and lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
