Sr. Lab Technical Operator (Specialty Chemicals)

Location: Fully onsite in Billerica, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $61,750–$84,900 per year, plus benefits, 401(k), and an annual company-performance bonus.

What you will do

• Prepare samples for non-routine and complex laboratory testing.
• Operate routine processing and testing apparatus, including large and heavy equipment.
• Execute tests accurately and on schedule, record detailed observations, enter data, and summarize results.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, assist with equipment assembly and installation, and support problem resolution.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration and follow service requests through completion.
• Support continuous improvement, safety, environmental compliance, and collaboration with other laboratory operators.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of related laboratory experience, or an associate degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years of related laboratory experience.
• Hands-on laboratory experience and knowledge of laboratory testing equipment, protocols, and out-of-range result identification.
• Basic mechanical knowledge, experience using hand tools, and the ability to troubleshoot technical or mechanical issues.
• Ability to move heavy equipment, lift up to 50 lbs / 22.7 kg, and use a respirator when required.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures, manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.

• Experience in a cGMP or other regulated manufacturing environment.
