Senior Laboratory Technician, Coatings

Salary: $35.55–$55.55 per hour in local currency

What you will do

• Support scientists, technicians, and engineers on testing, development, and customer-related projects.
• Prepare existing and experimental coating formulations according to laboratory procedures and work instructions.
• Apply coatings using laboratory and pilot-scale equipment, including mixing, spraying, and curing equipment.
• Perform routine physical, chemical, and coating-performance testing using established methods.
• Record samples, process conditions, observations, results, and deviations accurately in electronic systems.
• Maintain workspaces, laboratory consumables, raw materials, equipment, and waste in accordance with safety and quality requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, maintenance, paint or coatings, chemical handling, or another hands-on technical environment.
• Ability to follow procedures, work instructions, and verbal directions consistently.
• Strong attention to detail, including accurate measurements, material labeling, sample preparation, and basic calculations.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, logs, and laboratory documentation.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Office applications, plus consistent use of PPE and site safety requirements.

Nice to have

• Technical, vocational, or associate-level education in chemistry, coatings technology, material science, or a related field.
• Practical experience formulating, preparing, applying, and testing industrial coatings or coating raw materials.
• Experience operating mixers, balances, ovens, and other laboratory instruments.
• Experience maintaining laboratory notebooks, test results, production records, or equipment logs.
