Vice President of Federal Business Development

TL;DR

Vice President of Federal Business Development (Federal Gov): Lead growth strategy across federal civilian and defense agencies with an accent on HHS and CMS. Focus on owning multi-year pipelines, capture planning, teaming alignment, and building relationships with program offices and contracting officers.

Location: Remote (US) – must be authorized to work in the United States; certain roles require U.S. citizenship, federal background investigation, and/or security clearance

Salary: $175,000 - $215,000 (United States)

What you will do

• Own and drive multi-year business development pipeline across federal civilian and defense agencies, focusing on HHS and CMS
• Identify, qualify, and mature opportunities from market intelligence through capture planning, teaming, and pre-proposal preparation
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with program offices and contracting officers
• Develop detailed account plans covering mission priorities, decision-makers, acquisition pathways, and long-term opportunities
• Collaborate with growth, delivery teams, and technical SMEs for strong capture and proposal outcomes
• Represent company at industry events, conferences, and government forums

Requirements

• Proven federal business development experience winning or supporting Full and Open pursuits across civilian/defense agencies
• Deep familiarity with HHS, CMS, or adjacent civilian agencies; VA or DoD experience a plus
• Experience in integrated BD and capture model
• Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes, contract vehicles, and agency budget cycles
• Authorized to work in the United States; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain federal background investigation/security clearance may be required
• Bachelor’s Degree
