Compensation: $170,000 to $220,000 base + variable (up to $290,000 OTE)

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery, scoping, and solution architecture for prospects to close deals
• Build and deliver live demos using prospect-specific data to demonstrate technical superiority
• Handle RFP/RFI responses, security questionnaires, and competitive battle cards
• Partner with account executives to prioritize pipeline, coach on positioning, and ensure technical depth in sales conversations
• Bridge won deals to implementation teams and feed prospect requirements into product and engineering roadmaps
• Develop pre-sales playbook, demo environments, and materials from scratch as the first dedicated hire

Requirements

• US-based for hybrid NYC role with travel across the US
• Technical credibility with CTOs on LLMs, RAG, security architecture, and data pipelines without preparation
• Experience building and running live demos with prospect data
• Track record navigating $250k+ enterprise deals through procurement and multi-stakeholder approval
• Ability to move fast in a startup environment, building decks and materials independently
• Proven history shortening sales cycles in pre-sales

Nice to have

• First or founding pre-sales/SE hire at a startup
• Domain knowledge in real estate, financial services, or professional services
• Coding skills (Python, SQL) for custom demos and proofs-of-value
• Experience at AI-native or data platform companies
