TL;DR

Engineering Manager (AI): Leading teams of AI/ML, data, and full-stack engineers to build an AI-native Healthcare Revenue Operating System with an accent on automating medical coding and financial workflows. Focus on scaling generative AI products, optimizing search and ranking systems, and driving 0→1 product development.

Location: Must be based in the United States. Talent hubs include San Francisco, New York, Austin, and Chicago.

Salary: $140,000 – $300,000 per year

hirify.global (part of R1/R37 Lab) is building an AI-native platform that reasons over medical records and payer logic to automate healthcare financial workflows.

What you will do

  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of AI/ML, data, and full-stack engineers to deliver AI-native products.
  • Define organizational structure and drive recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to establish a strategic AI product roadmap.
  • Spearhead 0→1 innovation by exploring and implementing new AI/ML technologies to enhance user experience.
  • Champion Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices to ensure operational excellence and efficient delivery.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States.
  • 3+ years of experience hiring and leading engineering teams.
  • Experience leading teams building Search, Ranking, or Generative AI products at a significant scale.
  • Proficiency in modern languages such as Python, Java, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Kotlin, or C#.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Nice to have

  • Experience in Healthcare or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
