Salary: Region 1 $119,000 - $140,000; Region 2 $106,250 - $125,000; Region 3 $99,450 - $117,000 (based on US location).

What you will do
- Oversee end-to-end multi-state semi-monthly payroll processing, including onboarding, merit increases, terminations, bonuses, commissions, and garnishments.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws; manage year-end tax reporting like W-2s.
- Maintain and troubleshoot payroll software; collaborate on system upgrades and integrations with HR and IT.
- Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, journal entries, and reconciliations for benefits, payroll, and taxes.
- Manage equity data in Carta, process grants and exercises, and support audits.
- Resolve employee payroll inquiries and implement process improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience in growing companies; global payroll a plus.
- Extensive experience with HRIS/Payroll systems (ADP, UKG, Workday); UKG Pro preferred.
- Strong financial literacy for aligning payroll with accounting, journal entries, and month-end reporting.
- Ability to explain complex payroll/tax info clearly while maintaining confidentiality.
- Proven collaboration with HR, Finance, and vendors.
