Global Head of Payroll - Vice President / Senior Vice President

Location: Greenwich, Connecticut, United States; office work is required Monday–Thursday, with remote work available on Friday.

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 base salary per year, plus equity for full-time employees and an annual performance bonus.

hirify.global is hiring for its Corporate Finance team to lead the global payroll function.

What you will do

• Define and execute the global payroll strategy, operating model, and governance framework across jurisdictions.
• Lead and develop a global payroll team while managing outsourced payroll service providers, SLAs, KPIs, escalations, and business reviews.
• Own payroll governance, internal controls, risk management, audit readiness, and compliance activities.
• Oversee salary, bonus, commission, leave, deduction, severance, and other payroll elements.
• Manage payroll accounting, accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis, funding cycles, and financial reporting impacts.
• Oversee equity compensation through payroll, including RSU vesting, stock option exercises, taxable events, withholding, deposits, reconciliations, and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience, including multi-state U.S. payroll and exposure to global payroll operations.
• Experience leading payroll teams in an outsourced or managed services payroll model.
• Strong knowledge of payroll accounting, internal controls, audit requirements, and SOX-aligned processes.
• Experience with equity compensation taxation, withholding, deposits, and reporting; CPP or a similar designation is strongly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, payroll reporting and reconciliation experience, and familiarity with payroll platforms, HCM, and ERP integrations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Namely HR or Ceridian Dayforce.
• Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Certified Payroll Professional designation.
