What you will do

  • Own end-to-end LATAM payroll delivery and governance across countries including Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Costa Rica, and Uruguay.
  • Ensure country-specific tax and statutory compliance, including reporting, withholdings, and employment law requirements.
  • Standardize payroll operations through SOPs and controls to de-risk processes.
  • Manage payroll transformation initiatives and migrations to CloudPay or Remote in partnership with implementation specialists.
  • Coordinate payroll accounting and benefits premium accuracy, including GL mapping, with Finance and Accounting teams.
  • Lead and develop the payroll team, serving as a subject matter expert for People Business Partners and Talent Acquisition.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive payroll experience with a focus on multi-country LATAM scope.
  • Deep knowledge of LATAM payroll compliance, tax reporting, and social security.
  • Proven experience in payroll governance, including variance analysis and audit-ready documentation.
  • Experience managing external vendors, such as local accounting firms and payroll providers.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience in hiring and developing payroll professionals.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with CloudPay and/or Remote (EOR and contractor models).
  • Workday HRIS/payroll integration experience.
  • Experience with payroll implementation, migrations, and UAT.
  • Fluency in Portuguese.
