Salary: $136,800 - $188,100 with a 45% bonus potential

What you will do

• Manage complex/high-exposure casualty claims with minimal oversight, analyzing coverage and handling related litigation
• Proactively manage outside counsel, control legal expenses, and perform legal functions like jury verdict research and negotiations
• Conduct investigations, develop resolution strategies, evaluate liability/damages, set reserves, and negotiate settlements
• Prepare reports for underwriting/claims/senior management and present on coverage developments and US litigation trends
• Train/mentor claims examiners/managers, support underwriting on policy wordings/legal issues, and collaborate across departments
• Travel to mediations/trials/conferences as required and manage junior associates

Requirements

• Law degree preferred; admitted to practice law in at least one state; claims adjuster license required/eligible
• Minimum 10+ years of claims handling/management experience
• Superior claims technical skills, strong knowledge of insurance policies especially casualty coverages
• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work autonomously, under pressure, collaboratively, and take initiative
• US Work Authorization required; no visa sponsorship
