What you will do

• Edit and rewrite localized game text including dialogue, item descriptions, system text, and other content.
• Collaborate with editors, translators, project leads, and team members to clarify text and resolve issues.
• Track progress, attend project meetings, and participate in voiceover recording sessions.
• Update and maintain style guides, glossaries, and story bibles for projects.
• Stay current with game trends, terminology, and subcultures; solve Japanese nuances in English.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English or equivalent experience
• 2+ years in writing, editing, or localization, preferably in entertainment
• Working in-office in Irvine, CA is essential for supervision, collaboration, and teamwork
• Passion for video games, language, and cross-cultural storytelling
• Friendly, professional, collaborative approach
