What you will do
- Manage daily shift operations, direct personnel, and oversee departmental objectives.
- Ensure safe, efficient plant operation compliant with OSHA, environmental permits, and licensing standards like NERC.
- Track, prioritize, and approve work orders in CMMS; enforce process control and LOTO procedures.
- Communicate with operations, engineering, maintenance, and customer service for reliable facility operation and satisfaction.
- Drive operator training, coaching for technical and interpersonal skills, and qualification programs.
- Instruct on auxiliary equipment operation, preventive maintenance, housekeeping, and log data/customer complaints.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED + minimum 7 years related experience in utility or industrial setting.
- Able to work rotating shifts, odd hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Must possess valid driver's license in good standing; pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and qualify for respirator.
- Able to lift 50 pounds, climb heights, enter confined spaces, tolerate temperature extremes, and wear PPE.
- Ability to read gauges/instruments, perform minor troubleshooting, prepare permits/work orders.
Nice to have
- Technical/trade school graduate.
- Knowledge of high-pressure boilers, turbines, water treatment, chilled water, auxiliary power plant equipment.
- Philadelphia Class A Stationary Engineers License.
- Skills in electro-pneumatic/hydraulic controls, DCS, computers.
- Experience supervising shift employees.
