Commissions Accountant

Commissions Accountant (SaaS): Administer the end-to-end commissions accounting process, including monthly accruals, capitalization, amortization, and reporting in accordance with ASC 606 and US GAAP with an accent on global sales organization compensation. Focus on calculation, validation, cross-functional partnerships, system implementation, audit support, and SOX compliance.

Location: Remote - USA (strong preference for East Coast). Applicants must have the legal right to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Salary: $102,000 — $141,000 USD

What you will do

• Administer end-to-end commissions accounting: accruals, capitalization, amortization, reporting per ASC 606/US GAAP
• Calculate, validate, report commissions and variable compensation for global sales
• Partner with Sales Ops, Payroll, FP&A, Revenue Accounting for accurate payouts
• Implement, optimize, maintain commission systems (Spiff, Xactly, CaptivateIQ)
• Support audits with documentation/analysis on commissions/bonuses
• Ensure controls, SOX compliance; understand new compensation plans/SPIFFs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred
• 5+ years relevant accounting/commissions experience
• Extensive US GAAP (ASC 606), commissions capitalization, SaaS practices knowledge – Must
• High-growth tech/SaaS company experience – Must
• Strong Excel, Office/Google Suite skills
• Independent/collaborative in fast-paced environment; detail-oriented, proactive

• NetSuite and commission platforms (Spiff, Xactly, CaptivateIQ) experience
