Senior Accountant

Location: Must be based in Brooklyn, New York (Hybrid: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote)

Salary: $100,000 - $125,000

What you will do

• Perform month-end close responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis.
• Prepare financial reports and assist the Controller with tax preparation and year-end closing.
• Support the annual audit process, including drafting financial statements and related notes.
• Design, implement, and maintain internal controls across core business processes.
• Drive process improvements to ensure accounting operations scale with company growth.
• Perform ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis for internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a finance-related field.
• At least 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Ability to communicate complex technical financial information and recommendations.
• Must be based in Brooklyn, New York.

Nice to have

• CPA designation.
• Experience with ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition).
• Experience using NetSuite.
• Background in a Public Accounting firm servicing large clients.
