What you will do

• Lead the engineering organization through daily accountability, tasking, and timely project completion
• Collaborate with product management to assess feature feasibility and propose alternatives
• Mentor and support career development for direct reports
• Improve processes for project profitability and enforce software development guidelines
• Encourage innovation in processes and creative development methodologies
• Resolve key issues impacting team performance and present creative solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 7+ years in client-side software design and development
• 3+ years in HTML5, ActionScript, and/or Java programming
• 3+ years of supervisory/management experience
• Knowledge of high-availability clustered environments and Agile methodologies
• Proficiency in JavaScript or FP language, and at least one OOP language (Java, C++, C#, AS3)
• Strong OOP, FP, components, and design patterns for games/web apps
• Working knowledge of SVN, Mercurial, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence
• Excellent communication with technical/non-technical personnel
• Able to pass Security Background Investigation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ReactJS, React Native, Babel
• Experience designing/deploying structured JavaScript applications
• Solid DVCS, TDD/BDD experience
• Online game development experience
