TL;DR

Continuous Improvement Lead 2 (Manufacturing Operations): Support strategic implementation of the hirify.global Performance System (MKPS) in operations with an accent on coaching, teaching, and mentoring team members on MKPS tools and philosophies. Focus on conducting kaizen activities, problem-solving approaches including 5-why analysis, and creating environments for improvement ideas.

Location: Onsite in Toronto, ON, Canada

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

What you will do

  • Assist implementation of A3 targets set by department managers.
  • Coach, teach, and mentor on HMPS tools, philosophies, and problem-solving approaches like 5-why analysis.
  • Conduct HMPS workshops, reflection activities, and training in model areas.
  • Support kaizen activities and implement continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
  • Create coaching plans to develop team leaders and facilitators.
  • Foster work environments encouraging risk-taking and idea-sharing.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to document standardized work, identify 7 wastes, overburden, and unevenness.
  • Knowledge of HMPS philosophies, True North, tools, and PDCA/scientific method.
  • Demonstrated teaching ability, relationship-building, change management, and office software proficiency.
  • Ability to work in teams, adapt to change, follow processes with minimal supervision, and solve complex problems independently.
